Jaswant likely to meet Sattar


NEW DELHI, Dec 30: External affairs minister Jaswant Singh is to meet his Pakistani counterpart Abdul Sattar on the sidelines of the forthcoming Saarc summit at Kathmandu.

The decision was made at a meeting of the leaders of political parties on present status of Indo-Pakistan ties.

“The suggestion was made at the meeting of political parties leaders,” parliamentary affairs minister Pramod Mahajan told reporters after the meeting convened by prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee here today.

Mahajan said the decision is yet to be formally announced by the Indian government —APP
