Brilliant knock by Qamar


KAARACHI, Dec 30: A fine unbeaten 77 by the Man-of-the-Match Qaamrudduja enabled Novartis to beat Engro Chemicals by eight wickets to march into the final of the AKU Colour Kit cricket tournament Saturday.

Opener Qamar struck nine fours and four sixes in his 39-ball knock that helped Novartis overhaul Engro Chemicals modest 139 in just 13.5 overs.

Engro Chemical, batting first, were bowled out for 139 in 21 overs with Sajjad Kazmi (38) and Kashif (21 not out) showing any confidence against Novartis attack spearheaded by Naeem who claimed three for 19 runs. Novartis will meet hosts AKU in the final.
