DADU, Dec 30: Two men were shot dead and another was critically injured in a clash over a matrimonial dispute at link road near village Basheer Arain, some 14km away from here, on Saturday night.

Rehmatullah Jamali, 24, his friend, Niaz Hussain Khoso, 23, were shot dead and Moharram was seriously injured by three Jamali tribesmen when they were returning to their village Basheer Arain from Khudabad town.

The injured was admitted to civil hospital here while the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their relatives after autopsy.

Dadu police have registered a murder case against Ghulam Nabi, Sarwar and Rasool Bukhsh.

KIDNAPPED: A young girl was kidnapped over matrimonial dispute in village Gul Mohammad Chandio, some 24km off here on Sunday.

Seven armed men broke into the house of Abu Talib Chandio, held the family hostage at gunpoint, kidnapped his daughter, Sanam, 18, and escaped in a car.

Khairpur Nathan Shah police have registered a case against Gul Sher, Abdul Majeed, Bilawal, Haji Saleh, Bahadur Chandio, Pervez Mallah and Ashraf.

BODY FOUND: Jhaloo police found a torture marked body of a 10 years old boy lying at the Jhaloo forest on Sunday.

The police handed over the body to Edhi volunteers for the burial.

POWER BREAKDOWN: Unannounced power breakdown was experienced by the residents of Dadu City for three hours on Sunday which adversely affected business activities.

Several citizens complained to Dawn that Hesco officials had been suspending power supply to the city from the main grid station for a couple of hours daily without any plausible reason.

They alleged that the meter readers of Pir Bukhsh Colony, Shahani Mohalla, Gharibabad, Chani Shahabad, and Meehon Khan Bhand were forcing the consumers to pay them bribe on monthly basis.
