Transporters asked to charge revised fares

LAKKI MARWAT, Dec 26: No transporter would be allowed to receive more than revised fares from passengers in the district, Naib Nazim Advocate Arifullah Khan Mina Khel said while presiding over a meeting about in his office.

The chief of the district monitoring army team, Major Khalid Khan, Nazims of union councils, transporters, traffic department officials and other people were also present on the occasion.

The meeting decided to remove the grievances of the passengers and transporters with joint efforts.

Transporters alleged that the contractors, on various bus stops charged higher commission, than fixed by the government, which compelled them to receive high fares.

Arifullh Khan said the government was working for the welfare and prosperity of the people.
