Seven-goal Ahmad on song

LAHORE, Dec 24: Ahmad Khan scored seven goals, including a hat trick, as Remounts Whites crushed Olympia 11-3 in the inaugural match of the Marry Max Cup polo tournament at the Lahore Polo Club (LPC) ground Monday.

Ahmad completed his hat trick in the first chukker to put Remounts Whites in driving seat. He scored two field goals and in between converted penalty from near the goalpost.

Remounts Whites added five more field goals in the second chukkur to surge 8-0 ahead. Manzoor Shah scored the first and last goals of this chukker while Ahmad pumped in two and Mir Shoaib Ahmad one.

Ahmad opened the scoring in third chukker by converting a 60 yards penalty-hit. Thereafter, Raja Sattar and Aurangzeb Monnoo struck one each for Olympia to reduce the margin to 2-9.

Abdul Rahman scored his only field goal at the start of fourth chukker for Olympia to further reduce the margin to 3-9. However, Ahmad slammed his seventh and Remounts Whites’ tenth goal whereas Manzoor Shah put in his third a little later to complete Remounts Whites’ tally.
