LAKKI MARWAT, Dec 24: The police have booked more than three dozen vehicles for over-loading and over-charging from the passengers.

According to a press release issued by the SP Lakki Marwat, though the government had lowered the prices of petroleum products on many occasions but the transporters had failed to reduce the fares according to the schedule issued by the government. After receiving several complaints from the commuters against the transporters the local administration has taken this action.

The press release said, the traffic police awarded punishment chits to 30 vehicles for non-availability of driving licenses, 10 for not possessing of registration copies, five for carrying no route permits, five for over-loading and 25 for receiving high fares than the schedule. A pick-up was also impounded.
