People urged to follow Quaid’s principles

Bureau Report

PESHAWAR, Dec 24: The NWFP governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah has said that the Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah was a multi-dimensional personality and it was his charismatic qualities which gathered the Muslims of the sub-continent under a single platform. He also inspired them to achieve Pakistan.

In a message on the eve of the 125th birth anniversary of Quaid-i- Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the governor said that the inception of Pakistan was one of the miracles of the 20th century that had become a golden chapter in the history of freedom struggles of the entire world.

The ceaseless efforts of the Muslims of the sub-continent under the dynamic leadership of the Quaid resulted into the creation of Pakistan. The governor eulogized the matchless contribution of the father of the nation in a message issued on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great Quaid.

The governor said in a message: Today we are celebrating the birth anniversary of our great leader and architect of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

As a man of high wisdom and self-sacrifice, the Quaid had no equal to his sincerity of purpose. It was his devotion to the cause of nation that the achievement of Pakistan became possible. He not only carved out a homeland for the Muslims but also indicated in unambiguous terms, the kind of society, he visualized for Pakistan.

It should be remembered that it is a day of reflection and introspection also. We as a nation are grateful to Almighty Allah who blessed us with such an honest, dedicated and sagacious leader.

On this auspicious day we should pledge to mould our daily life in accordance with the Quaid’s teachings to strengthen our resolve to achieve the ideals for which he so firmly strived ad struggled.

The birth anniversary of the Quaid reminds all of us of his golden principles and reaffirms our resolve to emulate his motto and make Pakistan an invincible country. Let us all rise above narrow and individual interests work together and contribute to the unity, integrity and stability of Pakistan.

In the light of the teachings of father of the nation, we ought to work hard for the formation of a just society that guarantees rights of all without prejudice and discrimination. Being true Pakistani we ought to close our ranks against our common enemies that will give fillip to the efforts for the survival, integrity and soldiery of the country.

Today we are at the threshold of our history. An ingrained unity is more needed today than before. The present government realizing this, is all out for the upholding of national interest. The people must back the government’s efforts. We ought to rise above all petty differences, sectarianism, linguistic and ethnic differences and work for the supreme national interest.

We must take the bull by the horns to demonstrate absolute unity and cohesion in our ranks and files which is the essence of the teachings of the great Quaid.
