LAHORE, Dec 22: Pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar arrived here from Australia on Saturday to join the national training camp which is already in progress at the Gaddafi Stadium for Bangladesh tour, starting from Jan 2, 2002.

Shoaib was the only missing player of the training camp among the 16-member team which has been announced for the tour.

Shoaib, however, did not join the training camp and preferred to meet the PCB chairman Lt.Gen. Tauqir Zia, after arriving at the stadium.

National coach Mudassar Nazar said that he had not held a meeting with Shoaib Akhtar therefore, he was not in a position to say about the next programme of Shoaib Akhtar.

Mudassar Nazar said that Inzamam-ul-Haq who could not reach here after Eid holidays due to domestic problem had joined the camp.

He said that all the players were fit for the game.
