ISLAMABAD, Dec 22: Secretary, Ministry of Information and Media Development, Syed Anwar Mehmood while deploring Indian decision to call back its high commissioner from Pakistan has said that we believe in the fact that all means of contact should remain in existence.
“This is what is needed at the moment. The present tension in the relations can be defused only when contacts are maintained,” he told BBC.
He said, We deplore the Indian decision, adding, they have decided to terminate the train and bus services which would create difficulties for the low income people who travel by these services.
To a question, he said Pakistan absolutely does not intend to call back its Ambassador or High Commissioner form India.
“We want the contacts to be maintained so that relations might improve instead of tension getting increased,” he added.
He said our diplomatic representatives will remain there. We do not have any intention to review.—APP
