KARACHI: Two men killed; 4 cars, 5 bikes hijacked

By Our Reporter

KARACHI, Dec 22: A young man was stabbed to death in his home in Rizvia police limits on Saturday.

The police said that four unidentified men entered a house in Ferozabad Colony in Rizvia police limits. They attacked Mohammed Umer and his cousin Habibullah with daggers. Umer died on the spot, and Habib was seriously injured. He was admitted to a hospital.

The police suspected personal enmity to be the motive for the killing.

BODY FOUND: The body of a young man, with torture marks, was found in Nazimabad on Saturday.

He was identified as Sohail, resident of Liaquatabad. He had, reportedly, been missing for the past few days and was suspected to have been kidnapped before he was killed. The body was sent to a mortuary for post-mortem.

CARJACKING: Nine vehicles — four cars and five motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Saturday, the police said.

One car was hijacked in Mehmoodabad. Three others were stolen in Arambagh, Preedy, and Ferozabad.

The motorcycles were stolen in Defence, Korangi Industrial Area, Soldier Bazaar, Nazimabad, and North Nazimabad.

The police also claimed on Saturday to have recovered four stolen cars (ADD-175, CJ-2964, AA-9687, and CK-1766) in the city.

ENCOUNTER: Police shot and wounded two alleged bandits, in what they claimed an encounter, in Rizvia Society on Saturday.

The police said that three bandits forced their entry into a beauty parlour in Rizvia Society and robbed visitors and staff of their cash and belongings. The police intercepted the bandits in Usmania Colony after which a shootout followed.

As a result, Anwar, aged 26, and Imran, aged 21, were wounded.
