KARACHI, Dec 22: The All Parties Conference, convened by the Jamaat-i-Islami to discuss the effects of the attack on the Indian parliament, has condemned the Indian government’s propaganda against Pakistan.

The APC was held under the chairmanship of Prof Ghafoor Ahmed, deputy chief of the Jamaat. Local leaders of all major political parties and religious groups spoke at the conference.

In a unanimous resolution, the APC declared that the nation is united in this critical juncture and would defend every inch of the motherland and give a befitting reply to the aggressor.

The APC leaders resolved that the government should take the whole nation into confidence by holding dialogue with all the religious and political parties.

They said in their speeches the Indian government and its secret agencies were involved in such terrorist attacks which had been stage-managed to defame Pakistan and to justify any future action against freedom-fighters in occupied Kashmir.

They said the Indian government had stage-managed the drama of attack on the Indian parliament to cover up its atrocities against innocent Kashmiris and to divert the world’s attention from its excesses in occupied Kashmir.

They condemned the Indian media’s propaganda to brand Pakistan as a terrorist state.

The resolution urged the government to take friendly countries into confidence and seek their support in case of any Indian aggression.

Those who spoke at the conference included Prof Ghafoor Ahmed, Mohammed Arshad (Markazi Jamiat Ahl-i-Hadith), Syed Zia Abbas (NPP), Qari Abdul Mannan (JUI), Jamshed Ahmed Khan (PML), Malik Sarwar Awan (PPI), Nusrat Mirza (PMRC), Mohammed Amin Khattak (NAP), Ejaz Shafi (PML-N), Mohammed Younus Khan (MQM-H), Basharat Mirza (PDP) and Hafiz Mohammed Taqi (JUP).—APP
