Wushu officials

LAHORE, Dec 21: Abdul Jabbar was elected president, and Iftikhar Ahmad, secretary general, of the Pakistan Wushu Federation during the elections held at the Olympic House on Friday for the next four-year term.

Muhammad Jahangir acted as the Pakistan Olympic Association observer.

The following officer-bearers have been elected:

President: Abdul Jabbar, senior vice-president: Col Ahmad Nawaz (Army)

Vice-presidents: Khalid Mahmood (Wapda), Col (retd) Khalid (Railways), Rana Abdul Majid (Wushu Coaches Association), Professor Shamim Aziz (women’s representative)

General secretary: Iftikhar Ahmad (Punjab).

Association secretaries: Muhammad Saleem (Wushu Coaches Association), Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi (Technical officials’representative), Engineer Amirullah (NWFP), Dr Farhan Khan Janan (Balochistan).

Treasurer: Ejaz Ahmad Awan (Punjab)

Information secretary: Uzma Shahzad (Women’s representative)

Executive committee  members: Laeeq Ahmad (Wushu Coaches Association), Major Zubair (Army), Sheikh Muhammad Ashfaq (Punjab), Inspector Sheraz Khan (Police), Nasir Mahmood (Wapda), Jacky Steven Chen (Federal  Area), Abdus Sadiq (Technical official), Usman Ahmad (Punjab).
