Musharraf due in China today

BEIJING, Dec 19: President Gen Pervez Musharraf arrives here on Thursday on a four-day official visit to the People’s Republic of China.

The President is scheduled to hold talks with Chinese President Jiang Zemin and Prime Minister Zhu Rongji, at the Great Hall of the People.

A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry told APP here on Wednesday that the two sides would have indepth talks on bilateral, regional and international issues.

He said they would resolve further strengthening of their multi-dimensional cooperation in the fields of common interest for the well-being of their peoples.—APP
