China most trustworthy friend: ce


ISLAMABAD, Dec 19: President General Pervez Musharraf has said Pakistan regards China as its most important and trustworthy friend.

According to Radio China, the president expressed these views in an interview with Chinese newsmen here. Pakistan-China relations were old and strong, he remarked.

Musharraf said promotion of friendly ties with China was the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

He said his forthcoming visit to China and the visit of the Chinese prime minister to Pakistan in May this year indicated that strong and stable friendly relations existed between the two countries.

The president, referring to international war against terrorism, said that Pakistan was opposed to all sorts of terrorism.—APP
