Poisonous liquor claims two lives

SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 19: Two friends were killed while seven others fell unconscious on Eid day after taking poisonous liquor in Narang Mandi.

Nine friends had selected an isolated place outside the city for taking liquor. After some hours, Tariq and Anjum were found dead while seven others fainted. They were shifted to a nearby hospital.

Narang police are going into the matter.

BURNT TO DEATH: A housewife on Monday was burnt to death allegedly by her husband in Mohallah Muhammadpura, Khanqah Dogran.

Afzal contracted marriage with Farah six months ago. On Monday, he invited his three friends for a cocktail party. He got infuriated when Farah barred him from taking liquor. He poured kerosene on her and set her on fire. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died due to serious burn injuries.
