DACOIT KILLED: A dacoit, Karim Dino, was killed and two others were arrested following an encounter with a police party in the Rohri sub-division on Tuesday night, police sources claimed on Wednesday.

They told newsmen that Pervez Ahmed Panhwar, a resident of the area, had called Rescue 15 to inform about the presence of dacoits in a village along the belt of the Indus.

When a police party raided the area, the dacoits opened fire. The police retaliated as a result of which one, Karim Dino, was killed.

After about 30 minutes, the police succeeded in arresting two dacoits— Mumtaz and Ghulam Sarwar Metlo.
