17 Hangu district committees reshaped

HANGU, Dec 16: The district council of Hangu re-constituted 17 committees including health, education, electricity, telephone, irrigation, justice, sports and culture.

The council at its meeting held here the other day demanded of the government to fix salaries and other incentives for the minority, peasant and women councillors of the district.

The meeting, presided over by Zila Naib Nazim Haji Bismillah Khan, was attended by union council Nazims, heads of different government departments, the district coordination officer and other officials concerned.

The meeting called upon the district government to cancel all the contracts of development works in the Thall areas of the district and invite fresh tenders for the same.

The meeting also reviewed the construction plans of district hospital and district government secretariat on 1,000 kanal in the Hangu city.

The meeting disbanded the previous committees and constituted 17 new committees.
