RAWALPINDI, Dec 16: On the eve of Eid henna stalls were swarmed with young women, either buying the ever-popular henna cones or getting their palms decorated with beautiful designs in henna by the shopkeepers themselves.

Henna shops in Commercial Centre Satellite Town, Moti Bazaar, Chota Bazaar and other parts of Rawalpindi and Cantonment area were doing roaring business.

A large number of women and girls make a beeline at the henna shops waiting for their turn to have their palms decorated with patterns in henna.

Both male and female henna designing experts have been doing brisk business and that too in matter of minutes the whole palm is done with the help of the cone.

Similarly, bangle shops and stalls set up all over the city and in cantonment area also gave a festive look with women and girls, selecting colourful glass bangles to match their outfits.

A large number of bangle stalls have surfaced in the city and cantonment to cater to the requirements of women shoppers.

However, this time shoe shops in the city and Saddar have drawn moderate crowds.
