ISLAMABAD, Dec 15: Turkish Foreign Minister Ismail Cem is expected to arrive here on Sunday to hold talks with Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar on the role of a multinational force and the interim administration in Afghanistan.

The Turkish foreign minister will leave for Kabul on Monday and arrive back in Islamabad on Dec 18. This is the third high-level contact between the two countries since Sept 11. Earlier, President Ahmet Necdet Sezer visited Pakistan in October, followed by President Musharraf’s meeting with Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit in Istanbul.

Sources said reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan, evolving regional scenario and bilateral relations with emphasis on expanding economic cooperation were on the agenda of the ministers’ meeting.
