Soft drink company’s warehouse burnt

MULTAN, Dec 15: Fire reduced to ashes the warehouse of a multi-national soft drinks company in Razabad Colony near Police Line, Suraj Miani Road, on Saturday.

The company management claimed to have suffered a loss of around Rs16 million.

According to details, fire broke out in the warehouse early in the morning owing to a shot-circuit. The smoke arising out of the warehouse engulfed the whole area.

Fifty firemen could extinguish the flames in eight hours. By then some 80,000 crates of plastic bottles were reduced to ashes.

Fireman Haji Saeed was injured while controlling flames. He was shifted to the Nishtar Hospital where his condition was stated to be stable.—Nouman
