Drivers’ rally against tax

NAWABSHAH, Dec 15: A rally was taken out by Mazda truck drivers to protest against the parking tax here on Friday.

The rally started from the Qazi Ahmed turning and ended peacefully at local press club.

The drivers were protesting against Nawabshah taluka council for imposing parking tax. They also raised slogans against tax collectors.

While talking to newsmen, they said that contractors were collecting Rs15 as parking tax which was illegal.

They threatened to continue the protest if the decision was not cancelled.
