KARACHI, Dec 15: To commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of the founder of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the Aga Khan University (AKU) has invited the worldrenowned historian, Professor Stanley Wolpert to speak on “Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s Vision of Pakistan”, here on December 26, 2001.

Professor Wolpert is a distinguished professor of South Asian History at the University of California, Los Angles.

A world-class historian, Professor Wolpert is also the author of a number of biographies of South Asian leaders, including his widely read biography of the Quaid-e-Azam: Jinnah of Pakistan (Oxford 1984).

The two-hour programme is part of a series of special lectures held by the University as part of its policy of imparting broad-based education to its students and, at the same time, enable the wider community to benefit from interaction with outstanding speakers.

In this series, AKU invites eminent personalities to shed light on meaningful and challenging topics of public interest.—APP
