HYDERABAD: Power suspension

HYDERABAD, Dec 14: The Hesco has announced that due to the on-going development work, the power supply will remain suspended on Dec 15 from 8:00am to 1:00pm in areas receiving power supply from 132 KV Samaro grid station and 66 KV Umerkot-Chhachhro grid station.

A Hesco spokesman announced here on Friday that the power supply will also remain suspended on the same day from 8:00am to 1:00pm in areas which were being supplied power from 66 KV Patidan and Daur grid stations.

He also said that 17 Hesco teams of maintenance and testing division (central) and circle-I and II of Nawabshah during November 2001, checked 1304 power connections out of which 235 were found illegal.

He said that the teams also detected that 167 meters were running slow.

He said that power thieves included 157 domestic consumers, 55 commercial, 13 industrial and 10 agricultural consumers. He said that seven transformers of 200KV, three of 100KV, five of 50KV and two of 25KV were repaired.
