RAWALPINDI, Dec 14 : An Accountability Court (AC) adjourned the hearing of corruption reference against the former chief minister Punjab Manzoor Wattoo, till January.

The Judge AC No 1 Rustam Ali Malik was scheduled to record the statement of the Deputy Inspector General of Police Javed Noor, Investigation Officer in the case, on Friday.

The Court could not record the statement of the IO in the aircraft reference as the accused was being produced in a Lahore court on the same day.

The NAB has alleged that the former chief minister was involved in misappropriation of funds in the purchase of an aircraft.

The accused had already been convicted by an AC of Lahore and was serving a sentence in a Lahore Jail.—APP
