Harry Potter screening stopped in Paris

PARIS, Dec 14: A Paris cinema said on Friday that threats, apparently from French Palestinians, had forced it to scrap a screening of the record-breaking film “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” for some 800 Jewish children.

The Jewish National Fund (KKL) organisation said they had planned the trip for children between eight and 14 years old to celebrate the Hanukkah festival, but received a letter from the cinema saying it must cancel the booking because of the threats.—Reuters
