RAWALPINDI, Dec 13: The semifinal pairing of the Ramzan Sports festival cricket tournament were decided Thursday with Gul, Sportsway, Rainbow and Pak China all making the grade.

Gul defeated Star Gujar Khan Club by 38 runs, Pak China beat County by 20 runs, Sportsway scored a seven wicket win over Greenland and Rainbow thrashed Sadar Gym by six wickets.

In the semifinals to be played Friday, Gul will take on Sportsway at the KRL Ground while Rainbow will be up against Pak China at the Rawalpindi Stadium.

Gul Club bt Star Gujar Khan by 38 runs at KRL Ground. Gul 195 for seven (Ajmal 60, Yasir 41, Saqib 40; Shahid 2-39, Naseem 2-37); Star 157 for eight (Yasir 59, Sohail 17; Zulfikar 2-28, Khalid 2-32, Yasir 2-13, Raja Sarfraz 2-30).

Pak China bt County by 20 runs at JSHQ Ground. Pak China 213 for seven (Nadeem 50, Mujhaid 84; Zia 2-38, Rehman 2-36); County 193 (Waqar 52, Zulfikar 50; Jawad 4-25, Faisal 2-26).

Sportsway bt Greenland by seven wkts at Rawalpindi Stadium. Greenland 141 all out (Ibrahim 63, Mansoob 17; M. Asif 3-9, Tariq 2-17, Ashiq 2-26); Sportsway 142 for three (Raza Butt 74 no, Maqsood 46).

Rainbow bt Sardar Gym by six wkts at ARL Ground. Sardar Gym 150 all out (Zaheer 59, Shakil 33; Asif 4-16, Ehtisham 3-33); Rainbow 151 for four (Pervez 62, Zubair 38; Shakil 2-28).
