Three killed, 9 wounded in accidents

MUZAFFARABAD, Dec 12: Three people died and nine were injured in two road accidents, police said on Wednesday.

A rickshaw (AJK-5935) fell down the Sangri Mera road on Tuesday reportedly because of failure of brakes. Nadeem, son of Aurangzeb, the driver, and Khatoon Bibi, wife of Ghulam Mustafa, died on the spot while Ghulam Murtaza and Shahnaz received serious injuries and were admitted to the Combined Military Hospital where Shahnaz succumbed to her wounds.

In Neelum valley on Wednesday a truck (GLT-2460) skidded off the road and fell on the river-bank near Seegam village. Driver Mushtaq and seven others were injured. The injured were: Ghulam Rabbani, Shahzad, Fayyaz, Siraj Deen, Shoukat, Sadaqat and Rafiullah. They were taken to a military hospital.
