LAHORE, Dec 11: Seven goals by Shah Qubilai Alam, including a hat trick and five goals by Samiullah also laced with a feat of hat trick awarded Popular Chemicals and Musa Industries wide margin wins in the December Cup polo tournament Tuesday.
Popular Chemicals launched a grand nine goals rally which helped them recover to beat Deutsche Bank 10

Musa Industries led throughout the match to beat a strong Powersoft-19 10 -2.
Playing with an advantage of half a goal on handicap, Popular Chemicals showed fine marksmanship against Deutsche Bank to earn a convincing win. Bankers suffered a heavy loss when their ace Shah Shamyl Alam left the ground after falling from his pony in the second chukker. He was replaced by Ali Akbar.
Shah Qubilai Alam displayed an outstanding performance which helped his team to stage a come back after conceding one and a half goal to three goal lead. Alam gave Popular Chemicals an early lead by scoring a field goal in the first chukker. But Deutsche Bank struck three quick goals one each through Sufi Amir, Shah Shamyl Alam and Abdul Rahman by midway of the second chukker to come ahead for the first and the last time in the match.
From here onwards, Popular Chemicals braced the game and dominated the proceedings and scored goal after goal. Kamran Noor Din started the rally by scoring a goal in the second chukker. Shah Qubilai Alam struck two goals before the chukker was closed to give his side a slim lead of four and half to three. The in form, Qubalai completed his hat trick by converting a 30 yard penalty hit in the start of the third chukker.
Ahmad Nawaz Tiwana further strengthened the lead 7 1/2 -3 by scoring two back-to-back goal. Shah Qubilai Alam earned his fifth goal in the same chukker.
In the dying minutes Ashfaq scored the fourth and final goal of the Deutsche Bank to reduce the margin 4-8 1/2.
Shah Qubalai Alam scored both the goals of the fourth chukker which made the tally (10 1/2 -4. He first converted a 40 yard penalty hit and then a 30 yard penalty hit to score his seventh goal.
Musa Industries started the match in stormy fashion, when their Samiullah had completed the hat trick by scoring all three goals of the first chukker. He scored his first two goals by capitalising a 40 yarder and 30 yarder penalty hits and completed the hat trick by crowning a field effort. Besides, Samiullah the other scorers for the winners were Bilal Hayee (2), Hasan Raza Gillani (2) and Khurshid (1). For the losers, Arslan Najib scored both the goals.
Equal on the handicap, Powersoft-19 scored their first goal through Arslan Najib in the second chukker. But Khurshid again increased the lead of the Musa Industries by scoring a field goal. Later, Samiullah slammed a field goal, his fourth, to award Musa Industries a lead of five goals to one at the close of the second chukker.
The third chukker saw Hasan Raza Gillani scoring his first goal, converting a 30 yard penalty hit.
In the fourth chukker, Musa Industries added four goals against one. Gilani cashed in on another 30 yard penalty hit to score his second goal. Samiullah struck his fifth goal in the same chukker to make it 8-1.
The losing side scored their second goal through Arslan Najib but two quick goals by Bilal Haye again increased the lead and made the final score 10-2.
