GUJRAT, Dec 10: Jimmy Engineer arrived here on Monday on the ninth leg of his solo peace walk from Islamabad to New Delhi to promote peace and harmony in the region.

Leaving from Islamabad on Nov 30, he has so far walked through Rawat, Mandra, Gujjar Khan, Sohawa, Dina, Jhelum, and Lala Musa.

Reaching the city at 1.30pm after covering the 18 kilometres distance from Lala Musa in two and a half hours, he was received by the City SHO on behalf of the SSP.

Mr Engineer said peace was vital to the progress and prosperity of any nation. He said he was carrying two pairs of joggers and walking sandals which would be sufficient for the entire walk. On Dec 24, he will hold a press conference in Lahore to explain his mission. — APP
