KARACHI: MBBS exam forms to be accepted till 22nd


KARACHI, Dec 10: The Karachi University’s examination department has announced that all those regular and external candidates of BCom enrolled or registered in 1999 or before will have to appear in their forthcoming examinations according to the old syllabus.

The candidates appearing in the exams for an improvement of division would also take their examinations according to old course whereas candidates registered or enrolled in 2000 would take their exams according to their new syllabus, an announcement said on Monday.

In another notification, the examination department said that the forms for first professional MBBS (Part-A and B) can be submitted till Dec 22 and for second and third professional MBBS, the exam forms can be submitted by Jan 5 next in the colleges concerned.

The head of department of Bengali, Karachi University, has announced that seven students (Azmatullah, Muhammad Kamil Khan, Asif Khan, Tehmina Zubair, Muhammad Nizamuddin, Farozah and Altaf Qayyum) have qualified for admission in department of Bengali. The BA (Hons) classes in the Department of Bengali will commence on Jan 1.

Seminar: The Pakistan Society for Microbiology, University of Karachi, will hold a seminar on “Humanitarian needs and the health sector crisis: a situation analysis of the emerging tuberculosis/other epidemics in the refugee impacted regions of Pakistan” in collaboration with Karachi University on Dec 11.

SSUET CLASSES: The Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology has notified that the classes for the first semester civil engineering, bio-medical engineering, computer engineering, electronics engineering and BS will commence on Jan 7 whereas classes for third, fifth and seventh semesters will commence on Jan 10.

The candidates who have been granted admission have will have to submit their admission papers and fee till Dec 12 positively, otherwise those on the waiting list will be given admission in their place.

Meanwhile, the examination schedule for masters course in computer and electronics has also been prepared.

The students, appearing in their first and third semester examinations in master of science (computer/electronics for expertise in computer networking/software engineering/ telecommunication) have been asked to submit their forms by Dec 20.

Holiday: Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology has notified that the university and its allied institutions: Aligarh Institute of Technology and Faheem-un-Nisa Memorial Aligarh Institute of Technology for Girls, Karachi, will remain closed on Dec 14 on account of Jumat-ul-Wida and between Dec 15 and 19 for Eid-ul-Fitr.—PPI
