Elections at Tehsil level by Feb 15
HYDERABAD, Dec 9: District Sports Officer (DSO) Mirpurkhas Sunday advised secretaries of various sports associations of Mirpurkhas district to complete the election process in their respective associations by Feb 15 in accordance to the policy of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).
According to the policy, he said, sports associations of football, hockey, cricket, boxing, athletics, handball, basketball, badminton, squash, swimming, snooker, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling, kabbadi, malakhra, wanjhwati and belharo should complete the registration of teams by Dec 15, 2001 and conduct elections at Tehsil level by Jan 15, 2002.
He said advisory letters have been issued to all eligible sports associations, therefore, the office bearers of these associations should prepare the programme of election according to the policy.—APP
