Nazim asks officials to change attitude

HARIPUR, Dec 9: Zila Nazim Dr Raja Aamir Zaman held an open kutchery here on Sunday to get the proposed development schemes approved from the people and elected representatives of different union councils of Khanpur and Sera-i-Saleh.

The kutchery was attended by the Haripur DCO Mazhar Ali Khan, Maj Qazi Ehsan, in charge of army support cell, and Nazims and councillors of 20 union councils of Khanpur and Sera-i-Saleh.

The people apprised the Zila Nazim of their problems, which included water supply, carpeting of roads, pavements, and Sui gas.

People complained against the performance of health, police, transport, education departments, and Wapda.

The Zila Nazim directed the government employees to change their attitude towards the people. He urged the public sector departments to be people-friendly and stop creating trouble for the people. He also warned the transporters of action if fares were not reduced to match the new prices of diesel, petrol and POL.

Raja Aamir informed the gathering that a sum of Rs60 million, in addition to Rs50.5 million, have been earmarked for the uplift schemes of the underdeveloped areas.
