MINGORA, Dec 7: The director-general of health services, Brigadier Habibur Rehman, has expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of hospitals in Buner and Swat, says a press release on Friday.

He found irregularities in the accounts, and sealed the record during surprise visits to the hospitals.

During his visit to the executive district health office in Buner, the DG found both the accountant and field supervising medical officer absent from their duties without information. He ordered physical verification of the medicine store of the EPI department and directed the staff to perform their duties properly.

In the district headquarters hospital at Daggar the condition of cleanliness was found bad. The operation theatre was also not maintained properly.

On his way back, the DG visited the Rural Health Centre in Barikot.
