42 POs held, arms seized

LAKKI MARWAT, Dec 7: Serai Naurang, Dadiwala and Serai Gambila police booked dozens of outlaws, seized huge quantity of illicit arms, ammunition and drugs, and recovered a stolen car.

According to a press release issued by district police chief Abdullah  Khan, during a campaign against anti-social elements, police nabbed 42 proclaimed offenders.

Police seized seven kalashnikovs, five rifles, 16 guns, 13 pistols and 965 cartridges of different bores. They seized 3kg hashish.

A car (6311-PRH) which had been snatched some months back was also recovered.  

Meanwhile, 51 persons were arrested on charges of selling drugs and harbouring criminals.
