GUJRANWALA, Dec 6: Robbers injured an industrialist in his house along Commissioner’s Road here on Thursday.
Two armed men forced their entry into house of industrialist Muhammad Arshad in Civil Line area. The robbers were collecting valuables when inmates raised an alarm while Arshad contacted police by phone. The robbers hit and injured Arshad with the butts of their guns and fled away without taking anything.
TWO SHOT DEAD: A mechanic of electric equipment and his friend were shot dead by five men over a minor issue in Eminabad on Thursday.
Mechanic Naveed Ahmad and his friend Naveed Akhtar were sitting in the compound of the former’s house when Irfan alias Fani, Maqbool Ahmad Bhola, Ghulam Abbas and their two accomplices came there and opened fire, killing them on the spot. Reportedly the accused had given a tape recorder to the mechanic for repairs. The mechanic could not rectify the fault and the both exchanged hot words.
Police removed the bodies to the Kamoki Civil Hospital for autopsy and registered a case against the accused who were at large.
