KARACHI, Dec 5: Munawwar-uz-Zaman Eleven struggled for a 2-1 victory against fighting Col Dara X1 while Latifur Rehman Eleven recovered to hold Habib Ali Kiddi X1 to a 3—3 draw in the 39th YMCA Khursheed Aslam memorial camp trainnees hockey league which commenced here at the YMCA ground on Wednesday.

In a closely fought encounter Munawwar-uz-Zaman Eleven gained a 1-0 lead against Col Dara XI who put up spirited fight but missed scoring chances. Inside-left Khursheed and rightwinger Mohsin Zafar netted for the winners while insideright Shujaat reduced the margin for the losers

Earier Habib Ali Kiddi X1 were 2-1 up at the breather before Latifur Rehman team staged a fight back to hold their opponents to a 3—3 draw

Inside-right Zain Rehman, leftwinger Khalid and centreforward Husnain Alam scored for the Habib Kiddi Eleven. Insideleft Salman, centreforward Waqas and lefthalf Asama Shah found the net for Latifur Rehman X1
