LAHORE, Dec 4: One judicial officer has been compulsorily retired and show cause notices have been issued to 13 others, according to decisions taken by the Lahore High Court administration committee on Tuesday.
According to an LHC press release, the committee headed by Chief Justice Falak Sher took the following decisions:
Move over from BS-19 to BS-20 has been allowed to Zulfiqar Ali Khan, district and sessions judge (retired) and Sardar Muhammad Rana, Additional DSJ, Mandi Bahauddin.
The following ADSJs have been approved for promotion as DSJs (BS-20) on officiating basis:
Sajjad Ahmad Chawan (Kasur), Khalid Mahmood (Pattoki), Sakhi Muhammad Kahut (Rawalpindi), Syed Nasir Ali Shah (Lahore), Sheikh Liaquat Ali (Gujranwala), Muhammad Nasim Akhtar Khan (Gujrat) and Muhammad Aslam (Faisalabad).
The cases of the following ADSJs for promotion as DSJ have been deferred:
Allah Bakhsh Ranjha (Dera Ghazi Khan), Syed Ijaz Qutab (Rajanpur), Mian Nasir Hussain (Khanpur), Shaukat Iqbal Sikka (Shakargarh), Muhammad Liaquat Ali (Bahawalpur), Atta Ullah Kausar (Bhakkar), Baqir Ali Rana (Rahim Yar Khan), Chaudhry Nabi Ahmad (Lodhran), Sardar Mumtaz Afzaal (Khushab) and Mehboob Elahi Sheikh (Faisalabad).
Burewala ADSJ Inamullah Khan has been compulsorily retired from service on the basis of adverse entries in his annual confidential reports.
Resignation of Muhammad Ashfaq, Civil Judge Ist Class, Multan, has been accepted and the disciplinary proceedings against him have been dropped.
Final show cause notices of dismissal from service on the basis of adverse entries in ACRs and other material have been issued to the following judicial officers:
Malik Muhammad Aslam Jawad, ADSJ/OSD, Lahore High Court, Lahore; Ghulam Mustafa Shahzad, ADSJ, Hafizabad; Muhammad Hanif, Civil Judge Ist Class, Rahim Yar Khan; Muhammad Afzal Khan, Civil Judge Ist Class, Sahiwal; Muhammad Yahya Kulachi, Civil Judge Ist Class, Gujrat; Rao Muhammad Akbar, Civil Judge Ist Class, Dunyapur; Khalid Mahmood Ranjha, Civil Judge Ist Class, Lahore; and Akhtar Ali Shah Akhtar, Civil Judge 2nd Class, Chishtian.
Final notice has been issued to Mian Zulfiqar Ali, Civil Judge Ist Class, Pindi Gheb (under suspension) to show cause as to why he should not be dismissed from service, on the charges of corruption, misconduct and inefficiency.
Final show cause notice of retirement under Section 12 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974, has been issued to the following judicial officers:
Zulfiqar Ali Khan Saifi, ADSJ, Dera Ghazi Khan; S.M. Iqtidarul Hassan Shah Bokhari, AD&SJ/OSD, Lahore High Court, Lahore; and Ziaullah Khan Niazi, Senior Civil Judge/Deputy Secretary, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department, Lahore.
Disciplinary proceedings on the basis of adverse entries in ACRs have been initiated against Syed Muhammad Mehdi Zaidi, Civil Judge, Lahore, withdrawing notice of retirement under Section 12 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974.
Notice under Section 12 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974, has been issued to Muhammad Nawaz Bhatti, ADSJ/OSD, Lahore High Court, Lahore, to show cause as to why he should not be retired from service.
