He said that police should not cause delay in recording the arrest of any criminals as soon as they are held.

Addressing a meeting of all the SHOs and SDPos of Hyderabad district here the other day, the newly-appointed DIG police said that snap checking should be conducted in a more organized way.

He asked policemen to give respect to the elected Nazims/ Naib Nazims and councillors and solve the problems brought to the notice of police by them and observe punctuality.

He said it had been observed that in countless cases police officers arrest criminals but do not bring their arrest on record which ultimately benefited them and they were released.

He urged police officers to be courteous and humane with the public, who approach them for the redressal of their grievances.
