Army to get 300 Al-Khalid tanks by 2007

TAXILA, Dec 2: Pakistan plans to induct another force of 300 main battle tanks Al-Khalid into its armoury by 2007, sources told Dawn.

It has been learnt that after the successful induction of 15 Al-Khalid tanks into the Pakistan army in July this year authorities have given the green signal to Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) to build 300 more tanks to equip the army with the state-of-the-art, indigenous high-tech computer-guided main battle tank.
