Zakat distribution

SHIKARPUR, Dec 2: The secretary, Auqaf, Religious Affairs, Minorities, Zakat and Ushr, Government of Sindh, visited the office of the district Zakat and Ushr committee Shikarpur on Saturday.

He presided over a meeting of the officials and members of the committee at the district administration complex, which reviewed the administrative expenditure, and other problems faced by the committee in disbursement of Zakat among those deserving it.

It also discussed the ways to provide financial assistance including scholarships to poor students and dowry to the poor from the Zakat funds.

The secretary urged the district Zakat and Ushr committee members and its administrative officers to ensure the distribution of Zakat money among the deserving persons.
