MANSEHRA, Nov 29: An activist of the Harkat- ul-Mujahideen, Mansehra, was killed in Afghanistan along with 36 other jihadis, the deputy press secretary, JUI, NWFP, said here on Thursday.
Qari Habibur Rehman, while talking to Dawn, said the activist, Fazlur Rehman, 30, a teacher and resident of Tarangree Bala, was killed in an airstrike near Bagram airport with his 36 companions from the NWFP.
He added that Fazlur Rehman, with 100 other jihadis, had gone to Afghanistan to fight against the US-led forces.
To pay tribute to the martyrs, a public meeting was held at Tarangree Bala on Thursday, at which the father of Fazlur Rehman, Abdul Rehman; leaders of the Harkat- ul- Mujahideen, Maulana Mohiuddin and Mufti Kafait- ul- Allah also spoke.
They said that Fazal- ur-Rehman had sacrificed his life for Islam and added that” we and our children will always fight against Jews and their supporters.”
They said US troops would never be allowed to go back alive from Afghanistan. They urged the Muslims of the world to unite against Zionists and their allies, adding that a crusade had been imposed on Muslims by US President George Bush.
