Improvement Trust told to improve

SARGODHA, Nov 29: The district coordination officer has warned officials of the Improvement Trust to improve their working otherwise a stern action will be taken against them.

Speaking at a meeting here on Wednesday, DCO Zafar Iqbal asked the officials to achieve the maximum target of recovery of trust dues.

He also expressed his concern over illegal allotment of plots in residential schemes of Model Town and Jauhar Colony and ordered stern action against the corrupt officials.

The DCO said an amount of Rs200 million was outstanding against various allotees of shops and Rs500,000 against the contractor of Remmatullil Allemeen Park. He directed the trust officials to ensure early recovery of these dues.

He also constituted a committee for the purchase of medicines worth Rs65 million. The committee will be headed by the DHQ Hospital’s medical superintendent and representatives of PAF and CMH hospitals besides PMA secretary-general Sikandar Hayat.
