Saudi prince flays media attacks

RIYADH, Nov 28: Western critics of Saudi Arabia have even targeted the Muslim holy book, Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz charged on Wednesday.

“Some foreign newspapers have said that the Holy Quran is the cause of crime ... God forbid such claims,” Prince Abdullah told provincial governors, tribal chiefs and commanders of the national guard.

“This is your Quran ... We greatly respect it and sacrifice our lives in the service of this religion, this nation and the king,” the prince added—APP
