LAHORE, Nov 28: Shah Abul Maali Club struggled to beat  Z.U Khan Club 33-28 in the Lahore  Inter-Club  Ramazan-ul-MubarAk Basketball  Tournament at the Cathedral School courts Tuesday night.

In another match New Age Club overwhelmed Don Bosco Old Boys 66-37.

Shah Abul Maali Club and Z U Khan Club were 19-all at the half time.  The  winning club’s  Hamza (10) and Junaid (8) gave more improved performance in the second half which helped their team to win the hard fought encounter. Khurram (6), Nadeem  (5) and Saulat (4) were the other key scorers for the winning side.

For the losers, Abuzar fought hard and scored 14  points. Fakhar ably supported him scoring eight points while Nadeem Ahmad added five points.

In the other match, Saadat played outstandingly to guide  New Age Club outgun Don Bosco after taking convincing 33-21 lead at the half time. Saadat was the chief scorer with 21 points. Maqsood chipped in 17  points. Zafar and Kamran Munawar weighed in  with 12 points each.

Maudood Jafri (14), Asif Ali (12) and Adeel Manzar (11) were the major contributors for the losers.
