Life term for two brothers

SHEIKHUPURA, Nov 27: Additional district and sessions judge Syed Shahbaz Hassan on Tuesday awarded life term and a fine of Rs20,000 each to two brothers in a murder case.

Allah Rakha and Sadiq had murdered one Younis on seeing him in compromising position with their sister-in-law.

Declaring them guilty, the court awarded life term to the convicts with a fine of Rs20,000 each.

In case of non-payment, the convicts will have to undergo imprisonment for three months each.

INJURED: An elderly woman was severely beaten by four armed men here on Tuesday.

Reports reaching here revealed the outlaws beat trader Khalid Pervez’s mother in his house in Jinnah Park. She was taken to a hospital where her condition was stated to be critical.

A Division police have registered a case against Raza and others.

Police claimed the motive behind the incident was an old enemity.

LOOTED: Highwaymen on Tuesday took away cash and valuables from passengers near Walipur Bora.

Four bandits boarded the Lahore-bound bus from Faisalabad and snatched cash and ornaments from passengers at gunpoint near Walipur Bora.
