Students demand college reopening

Published November 28, 2001

LAKKI MARWAT, Nov 27: The students of FA, FSs and BA, BSc have demanded earlier reopening of the Government Degree College, Lakki Marwat.

In a written demand, they stated on Tuesday that their exams had come closer but owing to closure of the college, they were unable to study in the college.

They also feared that students would not be able to pass their examinations for secondary and intermediate classes because this year the examinations had been scheduled two months earlier as against the previous schedule.

The NWFP government had closed all the educational institutions in the province as the students had been taking part in protest rallies against the US attack on Afghanistan.

The students also suggested that the government should ban protest rallies and processions to avoid students’ participation in these activities.
