MALAKAND: Malakand colleges reopen today

MALAKAND, Nov 25: Zila Nazim of Malakand Engineer Humayun Khan has decided to reopen all government colleges in the Malakand district from Monday.

All educational institutions of Malakand had been closed following the launch of American air strikes on Afghanistan on Oct 7. However, the schools were reopened on Oct 19.

STUDENT KILLED: Unknown assailants killed one Saleem Rehman of village Matkani here. The deceased was a student of a local educational institution.

The Malakand levies have arrested one Fahad in this connection and started investigation.

AIDS DAY: The Narcotics Control Council Malakand in collaboration with the NWFP health department and Unicef will observe the World Aids Day on Dec 1 here.

A seminar will also be organized at the Government Higher Secondary School Dargai on the day. Later, a walk would be held to create awareness among the public about this deadly disease.
