Irfanullah shines

KARACHI, Nov 23: An unbeaten winning knock of 70 runs by Irfanullah, enabled Asghar Ali Shah CC register a seven-wicket triumph over United CC Friday, in the Seventh Aga Khan Gymkhana tournament played at the latter’s ground.

Having first use of the wicket, United reached 173 for eight in their 22 allotted overs. Zaheer Ali batted well for his knock of 69. Mavid Farooqui contributed (44) and Asadullah (29). Irfanullah picked up two for 28.

With Irfanullah also in fine form with the willow, and aided by good knocks by Nadeem Sheikh (49) and Kaal Abbasi (28), Asghar Ali Shah CC hit up the winning score of 174 for three, after losing only three wickets.
