PADC vows to continue support for Taliban

CHARSADDA, Nov 23: The leaders of Pakistan-Afghanistan Defence Council on (PADC) Friday said their campaign would continue till the enforcement of Islamic system in the country and re-installation of a Taliban government in Kabul.

This was stated by Maulana Gauhar Shah, provincial deputy chief of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam, Mohammad Riaz, district Amir of Jamaat-i-Islami, and Qari Mohammad Anwar, provincial deputy Amir of Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan, at a protest meeting on Friday.

They PADC leaders said the retreat by the Taliban from major cities meant that the Jihad had entered a new phase.

They said that with the Northern Alliance in power again, lawlessness had returned to Afghanistan and added that the brutal killing of four journalists was a proof of the fact. They pointed out that the religious parties had not abandoned their campaign in support of the Taliban.

AL-BADR: Al-Badr Mujahideen chief Bakht Zamin has said that with the sacrifices of the Muslim youth, Kashmir will soon be liberated from the Indian clutches.

He was speaking at a public meeting on Friday after funeral prayers in absentia were offered for commander Hafiz Ihsan Ali. Hafiz Ihsan died in an encounter with Indian troops in Srinagar on Thursday.

Bakht Zamin said the sacrifices of Mujahideen would soon bear fruit.
