KARACHI: ACLC recovers 133 vehicles

KARACHI, Nov 23: The Anti Car Lifting Cell of the Sindh police arrested 74 persons and recovered 133 vehicles from their possession, stolen or snatched in Karachi during the last three months.

All the recovered vehicles have been handed over to the owners.

During the special campaign launched on the directive of SP ACLC, Sattar Detho, the culprits were arrested from the interior of Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab by different teams after thorough investigation, says a press release issued by the Central Police Office on Friday.

The press release also contains registration numbers of vehicles recovered.

The ACLC also recovered six cars having no registration numbers.

Those arrested include Rafiuddin, Sheral, Gaman, Dildar, Hassan Khan, Khan Asghar, Aziz Ahmed, Sajjad Ali, Muhammad Rizwan, Shafiq Ahmed, Muhammad Asif, Rashid Aziz, Shakil, Abdul Wahab, Amjad, Zakir, Waheed, Ghulam Murtaza, Aashiq, Kamal, Teepu Sultan, Muhammad Hanif Memon, Mumtaz Ali, Nazakat Ali, Zaheer Ahmed, Saeed Khan, Muhammad Ali, Danial, Jan Muhammad, Muhammad Ashraf, Azmat Ali, Mumtaz Ali, Aamir Ahmed, Zulfiqar, Anar Gul and others.

The owners of stolen or snatched vehicles who have not yet contacted have been asked by SP Sattar Detho to come in touch with ACLC immediately so that their vehicles could be handed over to them.

Meanwhile, a special teams of the ACLC has been deployed at parking areas of commercial centres , mosques, Imam Bargahs and hospitals.—PPI
